Parking Attendants Play Role in Thwarting Terror Plots

The slogan “If you see something, say something” is gaining greater manpower.

Weeks after two street vendors were integral in stopping the Times Square car bomb attempt, the AP reports on a TSA effort to train a different group in the same vein: parking attendants.

A convention was held this week in Las Vegas to unite hundreds of individuals in the industry, protecting venues that ranged from city edifices to sports stadiums. The grass-roots counterterrorism program will aid groups like New York City’s police officers, who were honored on Thursday by President Barack Obama for their response during the recent Times Square scheme.
