Will Justin Bieber’s New Tattoo Influence Young Fans?

Bieber's Tattoo

Kids love Justin Bieber. Does this mean they’ll love his tattoo? What if they love it a little too much?

When photos of Bieber in a tattoo parlor surfaced this week, it was obvious that no decision of the 16-year-old’s would be kept personal. Bieber, who was inked up back in March, opted for an outline of the bird from novel Jonathan Livingston Seagull – a tattoo he’ll now share with his dad and uncle. But the question is not whether a 16-year-old should tattoo his own body, whether it be for a birthday or for a family tradition. It’s if Bieber’s decisions can fully be his own now that his influence on preteens has reached a palpable extreme.

The tattoo taboo is starting to fade, but we’re wondering if Bieber’s beginning to startle parents. Chances are, any worry is unfounded as most kids will be asking, “Bieber, who?” by the time they’re actually old enough to enter a tattoo parlor, but then again, maybe not. So, do we have to ask?

If Justin Bieber jumped off a bridge, would you jump too?
