This kid was in for a surprise.
It sometimes seems like a video of a cute baby in an awkward situation goes viral every other week. This weekend’s entry is of Baby Beckett, whose parents decide to feed him carbonated hard-candy Pop Rocks “in the name of experimental parenting.” (Hardly a comforting explanation, though the mom notes that they’re only giving the baby a single Pop Rock.)
Though this video is nearly three years old, it has made the Internet rounds this weekend, getting picked up by both Buzzfeed and Jezebel.
Are videos like this one exploitative of small children? Or is it all in good fun? For his part, little Beckett seems pretty confused throughout the whole clip. His expression at 00:22 is priceless.
