Stanley Cup Finals: Duncan Keith’s Missing Teeth

Dental diatribes are commonplace across NHL locker rooms.

For the first time since 1992, the Chicago Blackhawks are in the Stanley Cup Finals. For defenseman Duncan Keith, all it cost him was seven teeth.

The Chicago Tribune delivers the skinny on how the 26-year-old recovered from San Jose Sharks center Patrick Marleau’s errant shot, which hit him in the worst place possible.

“I took one breath, and it felt like my whole mouth was missing,” he told the newspaper. And as the Mouthpiece Sports video above demonstrates, the feeling was pretty close to reality.
