Facebook Promises Privacy Changes Tomorrow

That’s the word from Chris Kelly, Facebook’s VP of product, speaking in New York.

But, like all Facebook announcements and statements, Kelly was short on details, promising only “drastically simplified” privacy controls that will begin to rollout to users on Wednesday.

Kelly’s statement follows an op-ed by Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg in the Washington Post yesterday and an e-mail to tech blogger Robert Scoble in which Zuckerberg admits that the company’s “made a bunch of mistakes.”
