Cable, the original drummer for Stereophonics and a radio host for the BBC Wales, was found dead at his home in South Wales. No cause of death was immediately given.
Cable was one of the founding members of Stereophonics, a Welsh rock group that was the first to be signed to Richard Branson’s V2 label in 1996. Cable was the band’s drummer until 2003, when he departed after a rift with the band’s vocalist, Kelly Jones. That kicked off a career as a broadcaster, although Cable continued to play with several short-lived bands and projects.
