With word that the worst-case scenario could be 100,000 barrels of oil gushing into the Gulf, Lousiana turned to a higher power for hope to staunch the gusher.
Louisiana’s state senate designated Sunday as a day of prayer for the oil-laden state, asking people from the U.S. and around the world to appeal to God for deliverance from BP’s mess.
“Thus far efforts made by mortals to try to solve the crisis have been to no avail,” said Sen. Robert Adley, the sponsor of the resolution. “It is clearly time for a miracle for us.”
No word if Tony Hayward took a break from his yacht race to participate. (via Fox News)
