Autopsy Results Released for Slipknot Bassist Paul Gray

The heavy-metal rocker died of an accidental overdose of morphine, according to results released late Monday.Gray, 38, was found dead May 28 outside of Des Moines, Iowa. The coroner’s report also showed that he had “significant heart disease,” according to Dr. Gregory Schmunk.

Slipknot last released an album in 2008, with “All Hope is Gone.” Their biggest hit was the 2004 Grammy-award winning track, “Before I Forget.” Gray was one of the co-founders of the band in 1995.

Gray was survived by his wife, Brenna, who is pregnant with the couple’s first child. (via Reuters)
