Sounds like every girl’s dream guy: he’s tall; he’s on the cover of newspapers around the world; he confessed to, then denied, a murder. No wonder he’s receiving love letters in prison.
Joran van der Sloot claims that he has been receiving letters from women who are eager to marry him — despite the fact that the 22-year-old has been charged with the brutal murder of Stephany Flores in Lima and is being investigated for the 2005 disappearance of Natalee Holloway in Aruba.
“One of them even wants me to get her pregnant,” he reportedly told Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, according to the Associated Press.
Assuming van der Sloot is telling the truth (which, admittedly, isn’t a safe assumption), someone should probably set these women straight. After all, some of the accusations made against him make the craziest contestants on The Bachelorette look downright sane.
Ladies, a word of advice: Set the bar a little higher.
