You’d think airlines would be a little more careful when dealing with a world leader’s stuff.

When he was in the U.S. on a visit to the White House, American Airlines misplaced the luggage of a member of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s security detail. And it wasn’t just carrying pajamas and a toothbrush – this suitcase contained four Glock 9mm pistols. Turns out the bag was accidentally routed to Los Angeles.

Transportation Security Administration guidelines insist that even security details for foreign dignitaries must check their firearms. Now some reports say that one of the four pistols is missing. If someone stole it, it would have taken a lot of effort – the TSA insists guns must be checked in locked containers.

It just goes to show that no matter how important you are, airlines are still going to mess with your stuff. NewsFeed bets he’ll take a private plane next time.
