Paul the Octopus Inspires an iPhone Application

Thanks to a new iPhone app, you can query World Cup legend Paul the Octopus (well, an octopus like him) on everything from what pizza you should buy to whether you should continue to read this article.

The app, dubbed, “Ask the Octopus” isn’t officially sanctioned by Paul himself. But it’s available now in Apple’s App Store for 99 cents.

The app’s release comes after Octopus Paul predicted all World Cup matches of the German national soccer team correctly, as well as Spain’s triumph over the Netherlands in the World Cup final. But what will happen in 2014 when it turns out that the iPhone edition of Paul works as good as the original?

If so World Cup soccer would become pretty boring. And bookies stand to lose a lot of money.
