The Human Universal Load Carrier, a Lockheed Martin product, could revolutionize warfare as soon as next year.

The HULC is an attachable exoskeleton able to relieve a soldier of up to 200 pounds of combat gear, allegedly without affecting mobility. The U.S. Army is set to begin testing of the new technology, which includes “optimized control software, extended battery life and human factors improvements for quicker and easier sizing to each user,” according to a Lockheed Martin press release.

NewsFeed commends the successful development of such a complex technological advancement, and wonders if there is a belt loop component into which we can tuck our lasers and waterguns for office-use.
