Which horror flick had you sleeping with the lights on for the longest?

If you said Saw, your ticket contributed to the series’ $733 million take at the box office. That’s enough to earn the crown as the most successful horror movie series, recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records.

The “jigsaw killer” six movie series (with a seventh one in 3D releasing this October), beat Friday the 13th and Halloween. Apparently this one will answer all questions the audience has, Producer Mark Burg told Reuters. Looks like moviegoers love all things blood and gore. The film’s producers received their reward at the Comic Con festival in San Diego.

Who knew freaking people out could earn you a spot in world records?
