It’s not every day that Google makes a mistake (in fact, we’re hard-pressed to think of another major product mistake made by the company), but as of Jan. 1, 2011, Google Wave will be no more. (via Techland)
Our colleagues over at Techland can’t quite figure out what to make of Wednesday afternoon’s announcement. From Google’s press release: “Wave has not seen the user adoption we would have liked. We don’t plan to continue developing Wave as a standalone product, but we will maintain the site at least through the end of the year…”
