An animated Jersey Shore cast carries on with antics possibly more absurd than in reality. We can’t decide. Drinking. Vomiting on the beach. Snooki beating President Obama with a wine bottle over the government’s new “tan tax?” The Taiwanese media’s depiction of the colorful crew of MTV’s Jersey Shore is the latest in a long line of American culture references to get a Sims-like treatment, which we’ve seen before with the likes of the Tiger Woods sex scandal and the Apple’s iPhone 4 “Antennagate.” Though it’s difficult to tell whether these cartooned recreations address American culture with amusement or reproach, we giggle nonetheless.
