Leave it to a fictitious Vicodin addict to fill a real man’s fortune.

The Guardian reports that Laurie has risen to America’s No. 1 post on TV Guide Magazine’s list of the nation’s highest-paid drama stars. In his role as Dr. Gregory House, the two-time Golden-Globe winner reels in nearly $400,000 an episode.

In addition to his acting exploits, Laurie pulls in some extra revenue as a musician. He’s currently putting together a Blues album, which helped place him on NewsFeed’s list of the Top 10 Weirdest Actors Turned Singers.
