Here at NewsFeed, we’re unabashedly fans of Gmail (particularly the Gchat component. Oh man.) That’s why we knew we were going to lose some productivity after a Gmail-themed game was posted to the Google blog on Friday. The homage, created by “creative technologist” Paul Truong, is fairly simple, letting users take control of the trademark Gmail envelope icon in order to fend off an ever-encroaching slew of asteroids and trashcans.
