Here at NewsFeed, we were a little terrified of Friday the 13th last week. This kid isn’t helping our superstitions.
This past Friday, on the 13th of August, a 13-year-old boy was struck by lightning at 13:13 (or 1:13 p.m.). Even scarier — two other people were struck by lightning in the area within a 20-minute period. But it’s not just fate intervening, since all three were holding umbrellas, which conduct electricity.
Luckily, the boy, who has not been named, merely suffered a minor burn and is recovering well. Still, we doubt he’ll ever look at the number 13 the same again. (via AFP)
