U.S News and World Report released their highly-contested ranking of the top universities, and it looks like they’ve switched their favorite color from orange to red.
Harvard typically dominates the list, but they shared the top ranking with Princeton last year. They beat Princeton by one point on a 100-point scale with higher scores on graduation rate, faculty and financial resources, the AP reports.
The list is often used by students and parents when applying to colleges, but many say it is too numbers-based, leading schools to feel pressure to boost stats without making real change. U.S. News tweaked their methods somewhat this year, emphasizing graduation more.
Either way, Harvard has further validation that it’s better than everyone else.
