Report: Steven Tyler to Join American Idol Judges Table

According to E! Online, the contract for the Aerosmith frontman is a done deal.

E! Online is citing sources close to the show for the signing. FOX, the show’s network home, has not confirmed their report.

Tyler will join judge Randy Jackson — the only survivor from the show’s original three-judge table — for the next season. Talks with Jennifer Lopez, also rumored to be a contender, have reportedly cooled. American Idol lost Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres and fired judge Kara DioGuardi from last season. (via MSNBC)
