“He” may not always agree with the administration, but Stephen Colbert is nothing if not a proud citizen. And he plans to honor the returning troops by broadcasting two episodes of The Colbert Report next month with his audience filled with Iraq veterans and active duty service men and women.

The September 8 and 9 shows have a stellar line-up, including Vice President Joe Biden, U.S. Senator Jim Webb and the U.S. military commander in Iraq, General Ray Odierno. And lest we forget, Odierno shaved Colbert’s head — on President Obama’s orders no less! — when the host was in Baghdad last year. Will revenge be on tap for Colbert this time around or will Biden get in on the act?

One thing’s for sure: the not exactly understated title of these special shows. Colbert and his crew are calling the episodes, “Been There: Won That: The Returnification of the American-Do Troopscape.” (via AP)
