How can you get in touch with a sumo wrestler? Don’t bother texting him.

Sumo wrestlers have a unique problem — their hands are too massive to use a tiny smartphone touchscreen. That makes it difficult to respond to phone messages. So Japan’s sumo association has decided to send iPads to 60 sumo “stables,” or clubs, in an effort to improve communication, Reuters reports.

CNN adds that many people with large hands or fingers, even the non-sumo variety, have trouble with tiny gadgets. Microsoft is reportedly working on software that allows people to control touchscreens from behind, so fingers don’t block the display. Until then, these sumos will just have to settle for shiny new iPads.
