The cops then took over the business in order to catch would-be “muffin”-buyers. So that’s cops posing as drug-dealers posing as muffin-makers. Ugh, not that old story again.

According to washingtoncitypaper.com, customers of the delivery service would call a number, ask for some muffins and leave their address with the voice on the other end of the line. A man would then deliver a container labeled with “Mindy’s Muffins” that contained about two-and-a-half grams of marijuana.

But once police busted the delivery service, Mindy’s operations changed slightly. This time, according to one luckless-customer, when the delivery person showed up he was invited out to a vehicle and given a label-free container.

The biggest difference in the sale, however, came once the transaction was complete. As soon as he’d paid for his merchandise—or fake pot, as it turns out—cops surrounded the vehicle and arrested him for his “muffin” order. (via washingtoncitypaper.com)
