Adults are now text messaging more than ever. Does this mean it will stop being cool now?

A study conducted by the Pew Research Center found that 72 percent of adults who use cell phones say they send text messages, up from 65 percent just one year ago. Compare that to teens, though, and they’re still behind; 87 percent of teenagers said they text, and they send an average of 50 messages every day. Adults just send 10 paltry texts a day.

This raises the question, though — if Mom and Dad are texting up a storm at the dinner table, will it fail to be cool for kids to do? Probably not, so they’ll have to come up with a new way to communicate. NewsFeed controversially suggests actual, face-to-face conversation. (via CNN)
