Is Kanye West a Changed Man?

Interested in knowing what Kanye West is thinking? Well according to his stream-of-consciousness Twitter feed this morning, he’s thinking about humility, ego and Taylor Swift.

Almost one year after Kanye interrupted country singer Taylor Swift’s award acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, he’s taken to his often hilarious Twitter feed to share his thoughts on the incident.

Reflecting on the various “layers” of the backlash and whether he can ever change “haters'” minds about him, Kanye’s string of updates show a different side of the notoriously ego-maniacal star. A few of his more note-worthy tweets read:

-Why was it made into such a race issue. Taylor loves rap music… I love country music.

-When I right songs like Heartless I always say “is this melody good enough to be a country song or a broadway song?”

-When I woke up from the crazy nightmare I looked in the mirror and said GROW UP KANYE … I take the responsibility for my actions

-I’m sorry Taylor.

Is this a publicity stunt? Perhaps. But if it is, at least this one shows a lot more integrity and dignity than bombing in on and ruining what was likely one of the highlights of a 19-year-old singer’s life. So kudos to the new Kanye.
