This could give the phrase “sick as a dog” a whole new meaning.

After random testing by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration found salmonella in at least one bag of Hartz Mountain Corp.’s dog treats, the company has issued a recall of 75, 000 bags of the offensive product.

The company, which is based out of New Jersey, has said that they haven’t received any complaints from customers whose dogs have fallen ill.  However, they are recommending that anyone who has purchased Hartz Naturals Real Beef Treats for Dogs. (via CNN)
