The “Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” will soon be the “Girl with the Hollywood Profile.”

That’s because Swedish actress Noomi Rapace, who portrayed the anti-social private investigator in the film adaptation of Steig Larsson’s novel, has landed her first English-speaking role as the female lead in Sherlock Holmes 2.

The Hollywood Reporter says Rapace will share the big screen with Robert Downey, Jr.  and Jude Law, who will reprise their roles as detective and trusty sidekick. Filmmakers are keeping Rapace’s role under wraps, but insiders believe her character may be a French gypsy. Either way, it will certainly be a long shot from tough gal Lisbeth Salander.
