Legal proceedings surrounding the King of Pop’s death still continue over a year later.

Jackson’s mother and three children are suing concert promoter AEG Live over negligence for not protecting the music legend.

Katherine Jackson alleges that concert promoters AEG Live failed to provide life-saving equipment and oversee her son’s personal doctor, who was hired to monitor Jackson’s well being as he prepared for his “This Is It” tour.

The lawsuit, filed in L.A. county superior court on Wednesday, states “AEG’s representations to Jackson were false because in reality AEG was merely doing whatever it took to make sure that Michael Jackson could make it to rehearsals.”

“The purpose of the lawsuit is to prove to the world the truth about what happened to Michael Jackson, once and for all,” stated Katherine Jackson’s lawyer.

Dr. Conrad Murray, who allegedly provided the “Thriller” star with the deadly drug infused cocktail, is currently facing involuntary manslaughter charges for the star’s death. (via BBC)
