British actor and comedian Russell Brand defended his fiancé’s honor and got arrested. Almost swoon-worthy, isn’t it?

Brand was arrested at LAX this morning, reports the Guardian, after reportedly getting involved in a confrontation with a photographer. The photographer placed Brand under a citizen’s arrest, but once the police arrived, Brand said that he’d only confronted the photographer because he was trying to snap a picture up his fiancé Katy Perry’s skirt.  Perry, who’s responsible for our number one pick for worst song of the summer,  confirmed the photographer’s poor behavior by Tweeting, “If you cross the line & try an put a lens up my dress, my fiancé will do his job & protect me. #standbyyourman.”

The notoriously brash Brand was released on $20, 000 bail after being charged with simple battery. Reportedly the lovebirds were heading to New York after Brand had arrived in L.A. for their one-year anniversary. Let’s hope the honeymoon is a little more drama-free.
