Disgruntled Patriots wide receiver Randy Moss has one thing to be gruntled about: He’s got the first perfect Madden score of the year.

Moss got his ’99’ rating in the category of “Spectacular Catch” bumped up to 100 in the latest update for the popular video game Madden NFL 11 in the wake of his spectacular one-handed touchdown grab last weekend against the New York Jets. (Video of the catch is up top.) It’s the first 100 in this year’s version of Madden.

As EA Sports’ Donny Moore told ESPN:

I think [Randy’s] the best spectacular catcher ever, even passing Cris Carter in my mind. He has such beautiful body control, not to mention his hands are just amazing.

Previous editions of Madden have included infrequent ‘100’ skill ratings for players, including Reggie Bush for “Agility” and Peyton Manning for “Awareness.” No player has ever had a ‘100’ overall rating, because that would be ridiculous. (via ESPN)
