Mother-In-Law Jokes Banned in London Borough

Your mother-in-law is so oversensitive, she got mother-in-law jokes outlawed.

Comedians joke about their mother-in-laws just as much as they complain about airline food and the cost of gas these days. But if you stop by the London borough of Barnet, they’ll get in trouble.

Barnet published a pamphlet entitled “Cultural Awareness: General Problems,” which said certain jokes can be misinterpreted by other cultures. Mother-in-law jokes in particular, they say, could be considered sexist and disrespectful to elders.
