If you think pounding the pavement in high heels is tough, then watch this.

Four Australian women have broken the world record for the fastest relay race in stilettos. They sprinted across a 263-foot course in Sydney in just one minute and four seconds while supporting their weight on three-inch stems. That’s kind of astonishing. So is the fact that Guinness World Records actually tracks this.

Speaking to ITN News, one racer downplayed the risk of injury. “If you run on your toes, the heel doesn’t even touch the ground so it’s just like sprinting,” she said. Is it really?

The winning team—who raced under the name “the Pinkettes”—say they’ll spend their $10,000 prize money on a trip to Thailand.
