Aspiring models the world over were left shaking in their stilettos on Tuesday evening after the host of Australia’s Next Top Model announced the wrong winner during the show’s live finale.

WATCH:

Model Kelsey Martinovich smiled from ear to ear after host Sarah Murdoch said that the 19-year old had strutted to victory and would walk away with a prize package including a Harpers Bazaar cover shoot, a $25,000 campaign with Levis, a car, $20,000 cash and a trip to New York City.

But shortly after the fireworks subsided and runner-up Amanda Ware delivered her obligatory thank-yous, host Murdoch looked visibly ill (not a good look for the catwalk).

“Oh my God, I don’t know what to say right now,” Murdoch said, in front of a crowd of 2,000 people at Sydney’s Luna Park.

“I’m feeling a bit sick about this. I’m so sorry about this, oh my God. I don’t know what to say. This is a complete accident, I’m so sorry. It’s Amanda… it was read to me wrong.”

“This is what happens when you have live TV folks, I’m so sorry, this is insane.”

The Sydney Morning Herald dubbed the episode an “epic fail.”
