Toddler’s Birthday Party Turns Into Mass Brawl

NewsFeed has just started going to babies’ birthday parties and can confirm that cakes, candles and singing take place. But it’s probably for the best that we didn’t RSVP to this toddler’s event in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Of the 150 people who were invited to a three-year-old’s birthday party at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Hall in Elmwood Place, a staggering 75 of them are thought to have been involved in the brawl that broke out with seven — yes, seven — police jurisdictions called in to break it up.

“When (first responding) officers arrived there, it was a pretty intense fight going on inside,” Elmwood Place Police Chief William Peskin said. “They actually had to wait until they got backup there in order to make entry because there were so many people throwing bottles and chairs, so they had to actually wait.”

It’s believed that the fight began between the birthday girl’s father and her mother’s boyfriend. The child’s 26-year-old father was charged with disorderly conduct, while 15 people were injured with at least five hospitalized, including one requiring surgery to the eye due to a cut from a beer bottle.

Possibly the only positive thing to come from the party was that the princess birthday cake was miraculously left unscathed. Pop an extra candle in it and that’s one less thing to worry about a year from now (there is going to be a birthday party next year, isn’t there?)
