Men Are Looking for Women with Nice… Arms?

Ladies, have you ever agonized over what exactly it is men are looking for in a woman? Right, neither have we. But if you have, the time to agonize is over; men are most attracted to women with great arms.

Now before you cry out in disbelief, “Arms? Are you kidding me?”, take a minute to think about it. After all, arms are functional, good for hugging and are usually more exposed than other areas of the body, making them much more ogle-able (men appreciate the little things). But even if that doesn’t convince you, perhaps research published in the Journal of Evolutionary Biology will.

A study conducted by researchers from the University of New South Wales in Sydney involved presenting Australian and Chinese men videos of 96 women and having them rate each woman on her looks. The researchers found that “long-armed women” were the ones who were consistently rated as most attractive.

Other factors such as weight, age and hip size did come into play though not as much as arm length. And researchers noted that the fact that arm length rated high for both the Australian and the Chinese men, likely means that it’s a desirable trait across cultures.

So the next time that you’re out trolling for men (er, not that anyone actually does that, of course) feel free to leave the sleeves at home. (via the Daily Mail)
