It’s hard to find a good man these days. It’s especially tough to find a guy who can take you in kung-fu.

Sisters Xiao Lin, 22, and Yin, 21, decided to skip Match.com and instead stage a three-day fighting festival in their region of Foushan, located in southeast China. Potential paramours must impress them with archery skills, carry heavy weights and, finally, defeat one of the sisters in kung-fu combat. Then — and only then — can they remove a sister’s mask and propose marriage.

Yin says she’s aware the methods are a little less than modern. “We tried dating agencies but the men we met were all too weak […] So we went back to ancient ways called Bi Wu Zhao Qin, which was the way warrior princesses would find their men.”

Though it might be a downer to propose to a woman without as much as a conversation, you’d certainly have a marriage without disagreements. After all, if you were to argue with one of the kung-fu sisters, you’d probably end up running for your life.
