Police in Germany are saying that a surprise attack on an elderly couple came from an unlikely source–a tree log.
Apparently a bullet from World War II was lodged in a tree and the tree was eventually cut down for firewood. The live round then exploded when the log was thrown onto the fire and ricocheted around the living room. Both husband and wife suffered from cuts, the woman, 84, to her face and the man, 85, to his hand. (via Monsters and Critics)
