As a panelist on the HBO show, Galifianakis pulled out a prop to iterate a point, claiming that an ingrained taboo is pot’s biggest deterrent, not opposition to the drug itself. During a discussion of California’s Proposition 19 ballot measure aimed at legalizing marijuana, Galifianakis began to smoke while the audience cheered and panelists balked.
