Actually, it wasn’t half bad.

During last night’s annual Country Music Awards, Academy Award winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow took the stage to perform the title song from her upcoming film, Country Strong, along with country singer Vince Gill. Paltrow, who is married to Coldplay front man Chris Martin, became a Hollywood darling in 1998 for her role in Shakespeare In Love, which won her the Academy Award for best actress. Some critics speculate the actress’ role as fallen country singer Kelly Cantor could be Paltrow’s return to the award season spotlight. Country Strong is set to hit theaters Dec. 22, but audiences will be able to judge Paltrow’s vocal abilities even sooner as she guest stars on FOX’s Glee on Nov. 16.
