Once only a novelty to scientists and reporters, the flying Asian carp have now provided the perfect challenge for sport–a sort of extreme, flying fishing sport.
Remember when the Asian carp would ruin sporting events? Well, the athletes have had enough!
ESPN is premiering a segment on Sunday for Outside the Line on the havoc that Asian carp are wreaking on a small town in Illinois–or more importantly, on their fishing competition. The sixth annual Redneck Fishing Tournament specifically targeted the Asian carp this year and from the looks of it, the fish proved to be a stealthy nemesis. (via ESPN)
