China Invents Own Peace Prize, Is Mocked By Taiwan

Picture 5

There are a couple things the Chinese Communist Party dislikes: Criticism, for one. Also, Taiwan. The folks at Next Media Animation don’t seem to care. They’ve created a video that mocks much of what the Middle Kingdom holds dear, pandas included.

Let us draw your attention to three little gems:

1. At 0:22, a baseball bat-wielding panda attacks a representative of the United Nations.

2. Moments later, at 0:50 the Confucius Prize trophy, which is labeled ‘Made in China,’ falls apart.

4.  At 1:13, the video cuts to what appears to be a cartoon-version of  Lien Chan, former Taiwanese VP, barking like a dog before his Chinese master. Chan is the first winner of the Confucius Prize.
