Westboro Baptist Church to Protest at Elizabeth Edwards’ Funeral

Westboro Baptist Church–making heartbreaking situations even more heartbreaking.

The Kansas church announced on their website that they are planning on picketing outside of Elizabeth Edwards’ funeral in Raleigh, North Carolina. Edwards died on Tuesday after a long battle with cancer.

Members of the Westboro Baptist Church routinely show up at the funerals of American soldiers, protesting homosexuality. Reportedly, there has been no word from the church on why they’ve chosen Edwards’ funeral. (via Washington Post)
