Roger Ebert’s Welcome Return to Reviewing Movies on TV

For many, the way in which the venerable film critic is handling his debilitating situation, is also worthy of Person of the Year consideration.

Roger Ebert’s Twitter feed — where else?!? — announced that Roger Ebert Presents At the Movies will debut Jan. 21 on the Armed Forces Network. And that’s no small beer: we’re talking a not inconsiderable 192 markets across the U.S. and the world.

The Pulitzer Prize-winning Chicago Sun-Times critic has tragically lost the ability to speak or eat after cancer surgeries. He’ll be back on the air with his wife, Chaz, but that means no room for former New York Times critic Elvis Mitchell, who has been dropped (or given two thumbs down, if you will.)
