Insulting your dinner guests for posing in Playboy is never a good idea. Especially if you posed in Playboy, too.
But Camille Grammer—the ex-wife of actor Kelsey Grammer—bypassed all nudie mag decorum during episode 9 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She hosted what was meant to be a reconciliation dinner after several of the ladies clashed on a recent trip to New York City. But the olive branch caught on fire when fellow housewife Kyle Richards rocked up with designer Faye Resnick.
“Who is Faye? I know she looks familiar but I don’t know who Faye is,” says Camille, an “actress” who once appeared in a Halloween episode of her ex-hubbie’s sitcom Fraser.
Kyle explains that Faye “is a very close family friend.”
“Oh that’s nice,” Camille says. “You know what. I know her. I saw her naked in Playboy. That’s how I know Faye. . .she posed naked in Playboy after the O.J. trial. That’s her!”
Resnick was best friends with Nicole Brown Simpson, the former wife of O.J. Simpson who was murdered at her Los Angeles home in 1994. She came to fame during Simpson’s murder trial, and later collaborated on the book Nicole Brown Simpson: The Private Diary of a Life Interrupted.
“I recognized during the dinner. It was the hair,” Camille explains during her confessional. “I think it was the extensions and the blown up fake lips. And then I realized,’Oh my god…it’s Faye Resnick. The morally-corrupt Faye Resnick.'”
The irony, of course, is that Camille stripped for Playboy, too. But she contends that her turn as a bunny was much classier.
“We got into this conversation how I posed for Playboy too. But I was in my early 20s. It wasn’t coming of a big murder trial [in which] my girlfriend was killed. Those people I don’t understand and I don’t want to associate with.”
And while Camille may talk the loudest, it’s Kyle who has the final—and most reasonable—word.
“Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones. And she threw a big boulder.”
