Dick Clark’s Still Got It: Ringing in the New Year, NYC Style

Ushering in 2011 with a lot of love.

The 81-year-old Dick Clark brought in 2011 with a romantic smooch with his wife Kari Wigton. Appropriate, as the ball descended over New York City with a message of “Let There Be Love.

More than 1 million people were expected in Times Square to celebrate the turn of the New Year. The Waterford Crystal ball suspended high above the masses came down to the usual commotion and fanfare — and a solid showing of romance. Dick Clark was on hand with his “Rockin’ New Year’s Eve” show, as he has been for a majority of the years since the countdown premiered in 1972, to show us all a great time.

As the clock continues to tick closer to the New Year on the West Coast, NewsFeed hopes all revelers are celebrating a successful 2010 and looking optimistically to 2011.
