Let’s try to keep the rivalry on the field. Okay, boys?

New York Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie called arch-rival New England Patriots’ quarterback Tom Brady an “a** h***.”

(See the NFL’s most marketable player.)

For those of us a bit less football inclined, cornerbacks like Cromartie don’t compete against the quarterback. They spend the game trying to keep pace with receivers instead, some 15 or 30 yards down the field. So Cromartie carefully clarified that his hatred of Brady is strictly personal.

“I don’t really give a damn about him,” Cromartie told the New York Daily News.  “I don’t have to play against him. I play against the receivers.”

Well, in that case, curse on, Cromartie! (via ESPN)
