This is, without doubt, the worst kind of interception.

Brett Favre’s 34-year-old sister, Brandi, is facing drug charges after being arrested Wednesday in a raid on a Mississippi condo where people were making crystal methamphetamine, according to the authorities. She was among five people arrested in the bust, charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and generating hazardous waste, said Hancock County Sheriff’s Maj. Matt Karl. “She happened to be there and she was arrested along with the others,” Karl said.

While brother Brett would have been hoping that nobody in the family gets charged with anything more serious than a time out, this isn’t the first time his sister has been in trouble with the law. In 1999, along with her her sister-in-law and another woman, Favre was booked with felony shoplifting. Three years before that, she was charged with unlawful use of a weapon in connection with a drive-by shooting at a motel (it was during her student days at Southern Mississippi, where Brett Favre once played.)

She managed to complete a program in Louisiana that allowed her criminal charges to be erased. But still, Sheriff Karl confirmed that officers are “very familiar” with Favre. “She’s always in trouble,” he said.
