Jeep Grand Cherokee brakes have been a problem for 15 years. There seems to be a culture that accepts poor quality control at the company - despite two ownership changes.
That's why I drive a Mazda. Hardly any recalls. The ones that were announced were minor at best. Smaller companies that make fewer cars are quicker to diagnose the problems and are much less prone to serious recalls. They are also smooth to drive, cheap to fill up ($25 thanks to GasBuddy), cost us $28/month to insure (from 4AutoInsuranceQuote), and they never need repairs/maintenance. As for domestics - it's hard to find a vehicle from the 'Big 3' that will last over 3 years.
