TNT was quick to issue an apology after comedian Tracy Morgan aired his views on the former Governor of Alaska on Thursday’s Inside the NBA pregame show.

When co-hosts Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley chatted with Morgan on the live broadcast, they seized the opportunity to indulge in a little bro-like banter, asking the comedian, “Tina Fey or Sarah Palin?” Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.

Morgan being Morgan, decided to go there and replied with an over-the-top answer. Here’s a video of his response:

TNT has now released a statement saying, “It’s unfortunate Mr. Morgan showed a lack of judgment on our air with his inappropriate comments. We apologize for any embarrassment or offense it may have caused.”

Yes, Morgan’s comments were really offensive. But why not acknowledge that the question alone was really offensive as well? What about Smith and Barkley’s on-air judgement, huh TNT? (via Entertainment Weekly)
