So much for Emily Blunt or Keira Knightley.

Lifetime—the cable channel currently developing the made-for-tv movie William & Kate—has found its Waity Katie in British actress Camilla Luddington. Her straight-to-the-small-screen work already includes turns as “Uppity Guest #2” in Serving Time and “Sandra” in Accidentally in Love, and a brief appearance as “Tiffany” on daytime soap Days of Our Lives. NewsFeed is most intrigued by Luddington’s appearance in a video short entitled Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: Dawn of the Dreadfuls. Perhaps producers felt that role will help Camilla channel a royal Bridezilla?

As we reported last week, the film will chronicle “the history of William and Kate, from the moment the two students met at Scotland’s prestigious University of St. Andrews, through the ups and downs of their nine-year courtship.” That means Luddington may, in various scenes, prance around in a see-through dress, spend hours finding the perfect wedding dress, and pretend she has just quit her day job to learn the finer points of being a royal housewife. We’re fairly sure the film won’t reference Crown Jewels’ Royal Wedding condoms. But if it does, Prince William stand-in Nico Evers-Swindell will slip them on.
